MANLY DEEDS
The Beta Upsilon (Oop) Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, was chartered on the campus of Alabama State University on April 15, 1936. For over 85 years, Beta Oop has held fast to the aims of our fraternity: manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind. With these ideals in mind, the alumni brothers of Beta Oop have decided to establish the Beta Oop 1936 Fund.
SCHOLARSHIP
This fund will consist of line donations and individual brother donations to Alabama State University for the sole purposes of supporting the needs of our faculty, students, and staff. Your donations will go in direct support of tuition balances, emergency assistance, professional development, and other university needs as determined by the brotherhood.

Alpha Phi Alpha™, the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African American Men, was founded on December 4, 1906™ at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York by seven college men who recognized the need for a strong bond of brotherhood among African descendants in this country.
